Not Enough Jobs

Posted in Misc by Green People on the November 25th, 2008

There is a real lack in available jobs now a days, wouldn’t you agree? I remember a few months ago all the IT jobs that were available at places like Zappos an now I hear that friends are losing their jobs with no replacements. Wow! Is the economy really that bad that we can’t even keep the online businesses hiring or even keeping their best employees? Maybe there are underlying circumstances, but that’s just scary to see a company like that sending their bread and butter employees packing.

I and many of us at WG really hope that with the new President and his Economic Stimulus there will be some turn around in the economy. I would appreciate a raise and the ability to buy more. We earn, We buy, We feed our economy!

It is truly a bad time in our economy. I have had two really close friends already lose their jobs. It is sad cause one is expecting soon. I on the other hand have been doing great, I just got a raise and the company I work for is really growing and expanding. It is awesome. Good luck on your end!

Ya i am also a victim of recession.I have recently passed my masters in IT and trying to find a good job from past 6 months but unluckily did not got any work to do. I hope in 2010 economy will become stronger than it was before.

Let’s hope that we’ve seen the worst of the worst recession that we’ll see in our lifetimes. Yes, jobs are tight, few people have money, and many people are losing their homes in San Diego and across the country. The only IT jobs that seem to be readily available involve SEO.

I hope that it will pass in some years , when I will have to get a job . Currently I’m a student and I work in freelancing on the internet . There are not so many problems because I have my own clients .
I heard about many people that lost their jobs. I’m sorry for them :( .

I agree it has really gotten bad out there. If you have a job out there today you had make sure you are giving it your best. This past week Fox News announced that 500k people filled for unemployment. That’s like the whole city of Atlanta loosing their job in one week.

    Ouch…

Obama where are all the jobs you promised!

The economy has indeed turned adversely. More and more people are losing their jobs and more homes are being foreclosed. Even with the government stimulus, if no jobs are available for the unemployed there would still be a lesser chance for economic stabilization.

Americans simply don’t know what is like to live in/with a crisis. There are much worse situations, believe me.
Try Argentina’s crisis and you guysa won’t last a day =)

It is very true. There are almost next to none! It is very difficult to get a job as well. I remember last year, it was not this bad. Now, many people do not have jobs and they are all going under unemployment.

A year later and I still echo this sentiment. It appears that things are getting better, but it is still going to take time.

Mhm, definitely there is a shortage of available jobs right now. I have a lot of friends who just finished IT college and they are having difficulties finding jobs in they domain. I hope this period doesn’t last long.

The economy doesn’t seem to be improving a year later. Good heads up post here.
