Not Enough Jobs

There is a real lack in available jobs now a days, wouldn’t you agree? I remember a few months ago all the IT jobs that were available at places like Zappos an now I hear that friends are losing their jobs with no replacements. Wow! Is the economy really that bad that we can’t even keep the online businesses hiring or even keeping their best employees? Maybe there are underlying circumstances, but that’s just scary to see a company like that sending their bread and butter employees packing.

I and many of us at WG really hope that with the new President and his Economic Stimulus there will be some turn around in the economy. I would appreciate a raise and the ability to buy more. We earn, We buy, We feed our economy!

Our Used Van

We have this thing about buying lemons so when we bought our van we got the best Used Car Warranty that we could and didn’t even think twice about the price of the warranty. We have a really bad habit of getting the car home and as soon as it can not be returned for being a lemon it starts to break down. We decided to get the Full On Warranty from GM so that if anything goes wrong with the vehicle we can get it fixed for $100. That seemed like a pretty good deal for us since we can always manage the $100 but $1000 for an A/C repair is a little different. With the heat out here we need to know that the A/C is going to be cold each and every summer.

Thank God for Warranties.

Double Gifts

We were thinking of new and inventive ways to use glass to form some neat Christmas gifts for this year. One of the ideas I had was using glass to create a container like a small box that you could put things in. Like if you were going to give someone a pearl necklace you could put it in a glass box shaped like a Oyster or something. That would give the gift a little more life and would also possibly make the gift a two part gift instead of the traditional one.

You can great anything out of glass. Whether it will withstand the test of time, clumsy people, and accidents are a different story. If anyone else has any good ideas like this I would love to hear them.

IW as looking for a really small sink for the RV and I checked with a few of the local nearby hotels in Las Vegas to see if they had any old renovated things that they were sending off to the trash. Nothing doing. Oh Well! I will keep checking with them to see if we can score some cheap stuff. They are always remodeling and shipping their old stuff off to the heap. Thats a perfect place to recycle some things especially since we are trying to be as green as we can with this project.

I have found a site that offers baby strollers. Not in the traditional sense though. These strollers are interchangeable. I’m not only talking about the wheels, I mean the frame stays pretty much the same but the rest of the stroller like the wheels and the seating are interchangeable. Perfect for our little man as he is grown from 8 lbs. at birth to a whopping 24 lbs. in just 6 months. Hes getting a little heavy to carry everywhere. The name of the stroller company is Mutsy but don’t let the name fool you.

I’m excited that Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Actually the day after Thanksgiving is the day that I am most concerned about. That is the largest shopping day of the year as there are all the great deals that stores offer for the Christmas shopping season. We will be looking forward to heading out and shopping at Toys R Us to get the boys all the coolest toys. I was thinking about a big old flat screen TV for the RV when we get it and I was looking at the plasma mount that is specially made for them. It’s amazing how strong those things are and how much the Plasma TV’s actually weigh. Those things are a little heavy. Of course not as heavy as a regular tube TV but dang they are a two man lift for sure.

I want to get this show on the road and get the RV hooked up. It has been long enough and I am getting anxious. Every time I think about it I am great full for a blog that I can go and vent to!

Do you use USB extension cords? I know I do. I have about thirty feet of them in front of me right now. I found a website that has tons of cords and peripherals available for every use. To find a site like this is a rarity. We are always looking for places like this to get our USB cables and other cables. The prices here are unbeatable. I have looked the web over ten million times and I have not found these prices for these cables anywhere else.
