Whirled Glass

What is more worth your money then investing it in something that makes you money back in the long run? Real Estate is one of the best investments if you know what you are doing. If you can buy a home in an area that is going to flourish over then next few years then you are doing a good thing for your investment money. Branson real estate is one of the hotter real estate areas. Seems that there are more and more homes being sold in that area of the country than has ever been before. They must know something that we have not found yet.

We have been thinking about purchasing a home and have weighed the options for investing verses flat out buying. I figure it like this … if we can invest in a few homes .. ie flip a few properties .. then we would have enough money built up to either keep one of the homes or flat out buy a home. That sounds like a really simple plan right? Well there is a little more to it than that but the idea is solid. And there are people all over the country that are doing this everyday!

We just got the fixtures for the bathroom and the kitchen for our RV. We wanted to get a few new things even though we are pretty much done with the whole project. There was a few changes we made with the bathroom faucets and the kitchen area but for the most part no other real major construction. I’m looking forward to either selling it or getting it out on the road for a trip here soon. I like that we are going to be able to take it somewhere now if we really want to. I didn’t think that it would have been so much fun fixing up an old RV but it was really something.

We are thinking that one of our stops will be in Missouri for the Whirled Glass Tour and Show. We checked out Branson Missouri recently and don’t see too much glass blowing activity there but there are a few other things that interested us at that stop so we are thinking about shooting a show there as well. So if you are in that area let us know with an email or something and lets get together. If you are a glass blower or flame worker in that area we would love to have you on the show. Even if you want to learn a few things about glass and the art of glass we would love to see you there!

When we started looking in to our adventure across the states to find other people that are into forming glass we thought about staying in Rentable Condos. Condo Hotels are really nice to stay in and you would be surprised at how affordable they are for vacationing. There are so many options for us on our travels but we would really like to stay in a place that we can entertain guests and we want to be able to shoot the show while we are on the road so we would need some space and comfort. Condos would be perfect for that. It would almost be like we were at home shooting the show.

There is only one concern I have about getting older and that is losing my youthful look. The years of hard work are showing in our faces and we have so many great years ahead of us. I want to last in this old body long enough to at least see some of the great sights in this world. And look good doing it! Considering that there are anti-aging formulas out there that can keep my youthful look .. well youthful .. I am a little more confident that looking good for a long time will not be that hard. When are they going to come out with a formula that actually does some work with time and not just coverup!?!?!

Now that winter is over we will be getting the RV ready to take us up to the northern most ends of the US. We have been planning this trip for some time now. There are some glass makers that we want to see up there that offer some great insight to glass blowing and lamp working. Thats like comparing a Rolex President to a Seiko. I have met people that will take great offense to being called a glass blower when in fact they are lamp workers. That seems kind of trivial to me but who am I do judge?

One of the nicest places to visit on the trip to Washington to see our Aunt is Eugene. I always plan the trip so that we can stop and see the Sisters and catch Sunday Market. A couple times we have missed it but we still get to see the Sisters and grab a great bite to eat there.

I wanted to have a few of the shops and the independent jewelers get involved with a website project that I have been working on but when we are there it’s just so relaxed and laid back that I forget about business and focus more on having a great time while we are there.

We used to be able to visit more often when Audrey lived there and I sure miss hanging out with my favorite coffee girl Paige. If ever there was a great place for us to visit more often it is Eugene and Oakridge.

Thanks for the hospitality when we come through there everyone. We love your town.

We are still looking around the country for the perfect place to call home. Branson lots are still a possibility just for the sheer beauty of the landscape. We have an interesting offer for a property in Florida as well but I am still not sure about the bugs and the humidity. Seems like trading one type crazy heat for another. There are so many beautiful places in the US that are just begging for a new home owner to come in and make it a home. Not to mention the mass amounts of vacation properties. Come to think of it … we should take mini vacations around the country and stay in vacation homes. That way we could get a real feel for the area of the country we want to move toward.

I have been going through a slight change of pace because I am trying to lose a few unwanted pounds. There is no miracle pill that rips away the fat from your body therefore I have been working out like a mad dog and eating a little healthier. Although there are many top diet pills that you can take also to kind of help you control your eating, I would find that even one such pill works really good for me personally. I think you have to find what works for you and stick to it. Even if you only lose a pound a week you are still doing something. And if you are eating healthier then you are really doing something for you!!

We had to build a little bit of a custom built TV Mount for out RV. We have been trying to recycle as much of the old stuff that was in there as we could but we ran into a little problem with the tv mount. It seems that the old stuff that was in there didn’t look great and was even less functional. So we ended up building a whole cabinet that houses the TV that we have for in there. It’s quite big so I think building something custom was the way to go. The weather is getting better so now it’s about time we get that thing finished and get to some camping.
